Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Hello and Welcome!

Counter-strike: Global Offensive is a multiplayer FPS created by valve. CS:GO follows a long line of CS games including CS 1.6 and CS source. The basic premis of CS:GO is you can choose between counter terrorists or terrorists and you must achieve your objective. Different types of objectives include:

1. bomb scenario - terrorists must plant the bomb or kill all the counter terrorists and counter terrorists must defuse or kill the terrorists before they plant.
2. hostage scenario - terrorists must stop the counter terrorists from rescuing the hostages and the counter terrorists must retrieve and deliver the hostages to safety.
3. Arms race - deathmatch style game where you are rewarded with a new weapon every 2 kills, when you get 1 kill with the golden knife you win.
4. Deathmatch - classic deathmatch

CS:GO has two modes, classic and competitive. Classic is for casual players and they can do all of the above objectives. Competitive is limited to bomb and hostage scenario. CS:GO has a huge competitive scene where you are put on teams of 5 and required to use strategy and execution to defeat the other team. You are rewarded with higher ranks when you win and are deducted ranks if you lose. The ranks include silver,  gold nova, master guardian, legendary eagle, supreme master first class and global elite.

CS:GO also has customized sprays for guns which can be bought or obtained in loot crates which you receive randomly at the end of matches. In terms of game-play, CS:GO is very smooth and polished. one negative about the game is that there is a very high skill cap when it comes to competitive which makes it hard for new players to join and be encouraged to play.
